Joe Goodman, MA, MBA

Joe Goodman is a Senior Consultant at Eastern Point Consulting Group, Inc. a management consulting firm specializing in helping organizations manage change effectively. Eastern Point offers expertise in the management of diversity, organizational development and strategic change management.

He has been involved in all aspects of internal and external organizational communications and been a major contributor to initiatives in organizational growth, change, and productivity.

As a consultant, facilitator, and workshop leader, Joe has worked with more than 100 clients nationwide and overseas in a broad range of sectors, from high tech to healthcare. He specializes in all aspects of organizational communications and leadership development, including management and team effectiveness, collaborative problem-solving and decision-making, strategy and project planning, and change management.

He works with CEO's, board members, senior executives, department directors, and team leaders-anyone who needs to bring people together to think out loud together and build agreement for action.

His extensive professional experience includes senior management positions in several consulting firms, including Organizational Dynamics, Inc. and Opus Communications, Inc., as well as executive positions in communications, organizational development, and public affairs. He has extensive health care experience in executive level positions. He formerly served as Vice President for Organizational Development and Communications for MedStar Health, the largest regional healthcare system on the East Coast, and Vice President for Public Affairs and Development at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.

He is the founder and principal of The Meeting Doctor, a practice he established to help individuals, groups, and organizations develop high performance skills in dialogue, and provide collaborative decision-facilitation of high performance meetings.

Joe is also affiliated with Interaction Associates of Cambridge, Massachusetts, considered the premier provider of facilitator training in the nation, and he has served as an independent member of engagement teams for Coopers & Lybrand and CAP Gemini Ernst & Young Consulting.

Joe holds a Master of Business Administration degree with high honors from Boston University Graduate School of Management. A published author of articles, fiction, and reviews, he holds two additional Master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Tufts University.
